All in all, I am looking forward to doing a 2007 year in review.  But I don't have the patience or brain energy to do it.  

This Christmas is a weird one.  I'm not in the spirit of Christmas, for several reasons.  Mainly, I've been too busy to stop and smell the roses, and Dan is in Iraq, Toby has since died, and gma heffner is in NJ - and Tomato Bob and Bonnie I won't be seeing either.  And, I have to go back to work on the 26th which means I have to go back to NYC on the 25th.  

I am looking forward to starting 2008 with some sort of security and definitely some roots.   It's nice, really nice.  I feel like I'm settling into a life, I can get used to.  I'm adjusting to post graduat life, I'm loving it.  I think I'm balancing well, my passions, and work.  Learning that there is room for both, and they compliment each other.   My goal has always been to live, and that's exactly what I'm doing.  

I have high prospects for 2008.  Things will only get better, as I can imagine only more things will happen.  And everything that happens is a beautiful thing.

So. Everything with the housing crap is finally settled and I have a fourth roommmate. However. I'm sure not everything will be perfect but it's a good start so far. I'm psyched to start buying things for the apt. I bought fabulous flatware. you must all come over and eat with my flatware! I love planning and I can't wait to get back to Oakland.

I hate getting emails and hearing about awesome things that i could do if i were in Oakland, like the miesner workshop or going on field trips or talking to Cory bought stuff like RTP!!!!!! , or harassing james about who his daddy is. I'm not in Oakland and it hurts. When I'm there it's a fresh air of independence and life that is more carefree than at home. What's amazing is lazy ass me misses walking places. I love bambi but I miss the freedom of just going somewhere without the hassles of a car. Which means like opening a door. But seriously people... I'm thinking of bringing my car out but at the same time thinking maybe i won't like it. Plus it's soo much money. Advice??? what do we think ? CAr ? eh or nay?


But -- just four more weekends till I'm back in the city which I love so dearly.


Which reminds me of Li Young Li, which reminds me I bought three books the other day! Richard Wright who writes haiku. sometimes you just have to read them becuase they make you feel less sufficient as a writer, but in a good way. THey're so pretty that you appreciate it, instead of wishing you were as good as he or she. It boggles my mind how beautiful they are, and you're not really sure why -- anyway also a book by Yusef Komunyakaa, who is an amazing poet, I love him and he's fabulous... he's someone who always inspires me in writing something. Sometimes the best way to get inspiration is by reading other writers work... and Inheritance, a novel.

I was writing and I needed a word to ryhme with hallelujah. So i look it up on google and i click on the first thing that google comes up with. which happens to be nursery rhymes. and the rhymes goes a little something like this:
